These terms govern your use of travel.art. By reading or otherwise using the site, you accept them. They're meant to be readable; legalese has been minimised.
travel.art is operated by Aleksei Zavialov, an Italian sole proprietor (ditta individuale), Partita IVA IT04228890135, registered office Piazza Giovanni Grandi 8, 22010 Argegno (CO), Italy.
travel.art is an independent editorial publication covering art tourism. We publish long-form visitor guides for biennales, art fairs, and major museums. Articles are written by editorial judgment based on primary research; they are not paid placements.
travel.art is not a booking platform, a travel agency, a tour operator, or a reseller of tickets. When you click a recommendation, you transact with a third-party platform (Booking.com, GetYourGuide, Viator, Tiqets, etc.) under their terms.
travel.art participates in affiliate programmes with travel and ticketing platforms. We may earn a commission when you book a hotel, tour, ticket, or experience through links on our pages — at no additional cost to you. Affiliate relationships do not influence editorial judgement; we recommend things we'd recommend regardless of commission, and we keep individual articles' affiliate density modest (one commercial link per ~250–300 words on average).
Per the U.S. FTC's Endorsement Guides (16 CFR §255), the UK CMA's online disclosure guidance, and the EU's Unfair Commercial Practices Directive, this disclosure appears at the top and bottom of every page that contains affiliate links.
If you want to do something not listed and aren't sure whether it's permitted, write to [email protected]. We're generally permissive for non-commercial and clearly attributed uses.
We try to keep visitor guides current and accurate. Every cornerstone article carries an "Last verified" date, and we schedule annual rebuilds before each fair's next edition. Despite this, prices change, hours change, exhibitions are postponed, and policies are revised after our last verification. Confirm time-sensitive facts on the primary source (the museum's or fair's official site) before you book a flight, hotel, or ticket.
travel.art content is provided "as is". We make no warranty, express or implied, of accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. If you book based on something we wrote and reality has shifted, we cannot refund or compensate you — your contract is with the booking platform.
We link to third-party platforms (affiliate partners and primary sources). We are not responsible for the content, terms, accuracy, or availability of those third-party sites. When you click a link, you leave travel.art; their terms govern your interaction with them.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, neither travel.art nor its operator is liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising from your use of the site or reliance on its content. Where this limitation is not permitted (e.g., for gross negligence or wilful misconduct), the limitation applies to the maximum extent the law allows.
How we handle data is described in our Privacy Policy. In short: we collect very little, we sell nothing, you have full GDPR rights.
These terms are governed by the laws of Italy. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with them is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Como, Italy, subject to mandatory consumer protections you enjoy under the law of your habitual residence (which we will not seek to override).
If we change these terms materially, we'll update the "Effective" and "Last updated" dates at the top. Continued use of travel.art after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
